It’s Time to Rock The Vote

Rock the Vote has launched a mobile site to help make voter registration more fun, easy and accessible for young voters — and to help get as many people to the polls as possible on Election Day.  The site can be found on all U. S. Internet enabled cell phones at http://wap.rockthevote.com. 

Anyone who gives their name and email address on the mobile site receives specific instructions on how to complete their voter application.  Site visitors get up-to-the-minute information and images on hot button political  issues that matter most - and can learn how to get involved with the Rock the Vote events held in local communities around the country.  They can also stay up to date on current events with SMS message alerts, polls, quizzes, and community alerts.  The Rock the Vote mobile site is all about engagement and social action… It’s about using the mobile phone to mobilize community action.  It will be interesting to see how successful the site is and what other creative ways that our mobile phones will be a tool to mobilize social and political action in the future… Stay tuned!
