MobiTV is a California-based company founded *all the way back* in 2003 that delivers TV content over mobile networks… In just 5 short years, it has successfully sparked a new market for wireless entertainment services, winning carriage on more than 15 carrier networks, including Sprint, AT&T Wireless, Alltel, Telus, Rogers and Bell Canada (among others) — and has signed up more than 4m subscribers! In the last 10 months, it’s subscription base is growing faster than ever…Charlie Nooney, chairman and CEO of MobiTV, believes they are “on the cusp of mass market acceptance for mobile entertainment in North America.” They see a bright future for “user-driven programming, interactivity and connected media experiences” - which is no surprise, given the direction that the Internet is going these days…Right now, MobiTV has near-unlimited channel capacity with more than 50 channels currently available in the US.Rapid adoption rates have certainly been helped by the fact that they offer access to shows like 30 Rock and The Office on mobile devices.
